The CardExchange® Producer NETWORK Print Dispatcher Edition is designed to facilitate print farm solutions with load-balanced printing capabilities.

The Dispatcher acts as a central hub, communicating with connected Print Servers. Each Print Server registers itself with the Dispatcher upon startup, establishing a connection based on configured port numbers. Print jobs sent from Print Clients are received and cached by the Dispatcher, which then distributes them among the available Print Servers.

For instance, if a Business Print Client sends a print job of 500 ID cards to the Dispatcher, and four Print Servers are connected, the Dispatcher will distribute these jobs accordingly. As Print Servers complete their tasks, the Dispatcher assigns new jobs dynamically, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. In case of printer errors like a card jam, the Dispatcher reallocates the job to the next available printer and notifies the Print Client about the issue.

The CardExchange® Producer Print Dispatcher Edition includes one license, and there are virtually no limitations on the number of Dispatchers that can run on a system.

Combining the Print Dispatcher Edition with the Print Server Edition offers an ideal solution for card service bureaus or large central card production facilities, enabling seamless management and distribution of print jobs across multiple printers.
